According to the official statement issued by TCS iON, a brief technical issue resulted in an approximate two-hour delay in the conduct of the CUET UG 2026 morning shift examination.

The company clarified that the issue was identified immediately and resolved by its technical teams, allowing the examination process to resume smoothly.

The statement noted that despite the disruption, the integrity and sanctity of the examination remained unaffected.

TCS CEO Expresses Regret Over Inconvenience

In the statement, TCS CEO K. Krithivasan said the organization regrets the inconvenience caused to candidates due to the unexpected technical issue.

The company emphasized that its teams responded promptly and worked closely with examination authorities to restore services and ensure the continuation of the examination process.

The statement is being viewed as an important response from the technology partner responsible for conducting one of India's largest computer-based entrance examinations.

No Impact on Examination Integrity, Says TCS

TCS has categorically stated that the technical issue did not affect the sanctity, security, or integrity of the examination.

The company assured stakeholders that the disruption was operational in nature and did not compromise examination data, candidate responses, or test administration standards.

This clarification comes as many students had raised concerns on social media regarding the fairness and security of the examination process.

Teams Monitoring Systems Across Examination Network

TCS further stated that its technical teams are continuously monitoring all systems to prevent further disruptions during upcoming examination shifts.

The company reiterated its commitment to working closely with the National Testing Agency (NTA) to ensure the smooth and seamless conduct of Computer Based Tests (CBTs) across the country.
