AIBE XXI Result 2026 Declared: Overall Pass Percentage at 65.92%
The Bar Council of India (BCI) has officially declared the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XXI Result 2026 on Saturday. This year's examination recorded an overall pass percentage of 65.92%, with over 1.75 lakh candidates appearing from across the country.
Along with announcing the results, the Bar Council has also confirmed a reduction in the qualifying marks by 3 marks following recommendations made by its Monitoring Committee. The council has further released the complete schedule for the AIBE XXII Examination, which will be conducted later this year.
More Than 1.75 Lakh Candidates Appeared
The AIBE XXI Examination was conducted on June 7, 2026, at 292 examination centres spread across 60 cities across India.
A total of 1,75,701 candidates appeared in the examination.
Gender-wise Appearance
- Male Candidates: 1,10,909
- Female Candidates: 64,784
- Transgender Candidates: 8
The examination was evaluated out of 100 marks.
BCI Reduces Qualifying Marks by 3
Initially, the prescribed qualifying marks were:
- General Category: 45 Marks
- SC/ST/PwD Candidates: 40 Marks
However, after reviewing the examination paper and overall performance of candidates, the BCI Monitoring Committee unanimously recommended reducing the qualifying score by three marks.
Revised Qualifying Marks
- General Category: 42 Marks
- SC/ST/PwD Candidates: 37 Marks
The decision significantly increased the number of successful candidates.
Overall Pass Percentage
Following the revised qualifying criteria, 1,15,805 candidates qualified the examination.

The state once again emerged as the largest contributor to the national candidate pool.
AIBE XXII 2026 Schedule Announced
The Bar Council of India has simultaneously announced the examination calendar for AIBE XXII, which is scheduled to be conducted on November 29, 2026.
