CUET UG 2026 Day 1 LIVE: Shift 1 Begins Across India; Over 1.24 Lakh Candidates Appearing Today
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially commenced Day 1 of the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate CUET (UG) 2026 today, 11 May 2026, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across examination centres in India and abroad.
The CUET UG 2026 examination is being conducted from 11 May to 31 May 2026 in multiple shifts. On the first day alone, more than 1.24 lakh candidates are appearing across two shifts for eight subjects each.

CUET UG 2026 Shift 1 Begins
NTA officially started:
Shift 1 at 9:00 AM
for candidates appearing in today’s examination.
The examination is being conducted in CBT mode at centres across India and international locations.
According to updates, exam centre gates for Shift 1 were closed at:
8:30 AM
and candidates arriving after gate closure were not permitted entry.
