About Project 39A

Selected interns may get an opportunity to work on the following areas:
Death Penalty
- Research relating to death penalty jurisprudence
- Litigation support and case analysis
Forensic Science
- Research with a particular emphasis on DNA forensics
- Examination of forensic practices within the criminal justice system
Legal Aid
- Access to legal representation in criminal proceedings
- Strengthening legal aid mechanisms in India
Mental Health and Criminal Justice

Eligibility Criteria
Applications are invited from students enrolled in recognised undergraduate or postgraduate programmes in India and abroad.

Internship Duration
The duration of the internship is as follows:
Full-Time Internship
- Minimum Duration: 4 Weeks
- Maximum Duration: 12 Weeks

Part-Time Internship
Although part-time applications are considered, preference is given to full-time interns.
Selected part-time interns will be required to intern for a minimum period of 12 weeks.
