Registration Window Opens for UGC-NET June 2026 Examination; NTA Releases Complete Schedule
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially opened the registration window for the UGC-NET June 2026 Examination. Eligible candidates can now submit their online application forms through the official UGC-NET portal for admission to Ph.D., Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor eligibility, and Ph.D. admission only in Indian universities and colleges.
The UGC-NET June 2026 examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for 85 subjects across the country. The detailed notification includes important dates, fee details, correction schedule, and examination timelines.

According to the official schedule released by NTA, the online application process has already commenced from 29 April 2026. Candidates are advised to complete their registration well before the last date to avoid server-related issues during the final days.

- Online Application Form Submission: 29 April 2026 to 20 May 2026 (up to 11:50 PM)
- Last Date for Examination Fee Payment: 20 May 2026 (up to 11:50 PM)

UGC-NET June 2026 Application Fee
NTA has prescribed different application fees for various categories. The category-wise fee structure is as follows:
- General/Unreserved Candidates: Rs. 1150
- General-EWS/OBC-NCL Candidates: Rs. 600
- SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender Candidates: Rs. 325
The examination fee can be paid through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI mode.
How to Apply for UGC-NET June 2026
Candidates can apply only through online mode on the official website. NTA has clearly stated that applications submitted through any other mode will not be accepted.

Important Instructions Issued by NTA
NTA has issued several important instructions for applicants appearing in the UGC-NET June 2026 examination. Candidates must carefully read the Information Bulletin available on the official website before submitting the application form.
Key Instructions
- Only one application form should be submitted by a candidate
- Candidates must ensure that the email address and mobile number entered in the application form are active and accessible
- Communication from NTA will be sent only through the registered email ID and mobile number
- Incorrect or misleading information in the application form may lead to disqualification
- Candidates must follow all guidelines mentioned in the official Information Bulletin
Registration Through DigiLocker and Meri Pehchan
NTA has also enabled the application process through the single sign-on service “Meri Pehchan” under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology for the convenience of applicants.
Examination to be Conducted in CBT Mode
The UGC-NET June 2026 examination will be conducted entirely in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The centre, date, and shift details for each candidate will be mentioned on the admit card issued by NTA.
