About the Opportunity
NITI Aayog launched its Internship Scheme in 2015 to engage students pursuing undergraduate graduate postgraduate degrees or research scholars from recognized institutions in India and abroad
The internship duration ranges from a minimum of 6 weeks to a maximum of 6 months providing hands-on exposure to policy making governance and research-based work
Eligibility Criteria
Bonafide students from recognized universities or institutions fulfilling the following conditions can apply for the internship
UG students must have completed or appeared in the second year or fourth semester and secured at least 85 percent marks in Class 12
Graduate students or research scholars must have completed or appeared in the first year or second semester of post graduation or be pursuing research or PhD with at least 70 percent marks in graduation
Students who have recently completed graduation or post graduation and are awaiting further admission can also apply provided they have secured 70 percent aggregate marks
The gap between final result declaration and internship start date should not exceed six months ensuring continuity in academic progression
Application Procedure
Interested candidates must apply online through the official NITI Aayog portal before the deadline
Applications can be submitted up to six months in advance but not later than two months before the intended internship month
Candidates must clearly specify their area of interest while applying and note that only one application per financial year is allowed
Important Instructions
Selected candidates must produce original mark sheets and a No Objection Certificate from their institution at the time of joining failing which their candidature may be cancelled
