The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MoWCD), Government of India, has officially announced its Internship Programme 2025 for women students, scholars, teachers, and social activists. The internship offers hands-on exposure in policy analysis, research, and field projects related to women and child development issues in India.

The Ministry of Women and Child Development is the apex body of the Government of India responsible for formulating and implementing policies, laws, and programmes concerning women and children. The Ministry’s internship initiative aims to nurture awareness and encourage proactive participation in issues of gender justice, child rights, and social welfare.

🎓 About the Internship Programme

The MWCD Internship Programme is designed for women enrolled in or associated with any university, academic or non-academic institution. Selected interns will work on pilot projects, micro-studies, policy analysis, and ministry-led programmes. The initiative intends to provide qualitative exposure to the functioning of the ministry and create future advocates for women and child-related issues.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

• Open to women students, scholars, teachers, and social activists from non-Tier I cities and rural areas
• Applicants must be enrolled in/associated with a recognized institution
• Age limit: 21 to 40 years

💰 Stipend & Benefits

• Stipend: ₹20,000/- per month
• Travel reimbursement: Deluxe/AC bus or 3-Tier AC train fare (to and fro)
• Accommodation: Hostel facility on a shared basis in Delhi

📅 Duration & Batches

The internship will be conducted in four batches every financial year, each lasting two months:

• May – June
• August – September
• November – December
• February – March

👉 Up to 20 interns per batch will be selected.

📍 Location

Internship will be conducted at the Ministry of Women and Child Development, New Delhi.

• Submission window: 1st to 10th of the respective months (e.g., 1st-10th June for August-September batch)
• Deadline for current cycle: September 10, 2025
• Once selected, a candidate cannot reapply for another term
