🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- LL.B degree from a BCI-recognised university
- Minimum 3 years of experience (with at least 2 years in criminal law/litigation preferred)
- Trial court experience and strong knowledge of criminal laws
- Good standing to practice law
- Fluency in Hindi and English
Additional preferences include experience in animal rights law and familiarity with PETA campaigns.
⚖️ Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will:
- Handle and monitor cases related to FIRs and animal cruelty complaints
- File and pursue petitions for rescue and rehabilitation of animals
- Conduct legal research and advise on applicable legal provisions
- Coordinate with external counsels, public prosecutors, and law enforcement
- Represent PETA India in courts and before authorities
- Draft legal documents, RTIs, reports, and official communications
- Travel for court proceedings and investigations as required
