Ministry of Education Issues Official Notification
The Government of India, Ministry of Education, Department of Higher Education has officially released a notification inviting applications for the post of Vice-Chancellor of the University of Allahabad. The appointment will be made as per the provisions of the Act of the University.
Eligibility Criteria for Vice-Chancellor Post
The position of Vice-Chancellor demands both academic excellence and administrative leadership. As per the notification:
- The candidate must possess the highest level of competence, integrity, morals, and institutional commitment.
- Applicants should be distinguished academicians with at least 10 years’ experience as a Professor in a University or 10 years of experience in reputed research/academic administrative organizations with proven academic leadership.
- The applicant should preferably not be more than 65 years of age as of the closing date of application submission.
Salary and Service Conditions
- The post carries a fixed monthly salary of ₹2,10,000/- along with a special allowance of ₹11,250/- and other admissible allowances.
- The service terms and conditions will be governed by the Act, Statutes, and Ordinances of the University of Allahabad.
Procedure for Appointment
- The appointment will be finalized from a panel of names recommended by a duly constituted committee.
- The official advertisement is available on the Ministry of Education website www.education.gov.in and the University of Allahabad website www.allduniv.ac.in.
