Allahabad High Court Recruitment 2026 Notification Released

The High Court of Judicature at Allahabad has officially released the much-awaited recruitment notification for the posts of Review Officer (RO), Assistant Review Officer (ARO), and Computer Assistant. The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 543 vacancies in various categories under the establishment of the Allahabad High Court.

According to the advertisement issued on 01 June 2026, eligible candidates can submit their online applications through the National Testing Agency (NTA) portal from 01 June 2026 to 21 June 2026. The recruitment process will be conducted through a Single Recruitment Examination comprising three stages.

• Pay Scale: ₹47,600 – ₹1,51,100

Assistant Review Officer (ARO)

• Pay Scale: ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400

Computer Assistant

• Pay Level-4
• Pay Scale: ₹25,500 – ₹81,100

In addition to the basic pay, candidates will be entitled to various allowances and benefits applicable to Allahabad High Court employees.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for the recruitment must possess:

• Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university established by law in India or an equivalent qualification.
• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science from a recognized institution.

Alternatively, candidates possessing:

• DOEACC/NIELIT ‘O’ Level Certificate, or
• CCC Certificate,

will also be eligible as per the prescribed norms.

For Computer Assistant posts, candidates must additionally possess:

• Knowledge of Data Entry
• Word Processing
• Computer Operations
• English Typing Speed of at least 25 words per minute

Assistant Review Officer (ARO)

Age relaxation will be available to reserved category candidates of Uttar Pradesh as per government rules.

Selection Process: Three-Stage Recruitment Examination

The Allahabad High Court has introduced a comprehensive three-stage selection process for all three posts. According to the official syllabus and examination scheme, candidates must qualify each stage to move forward in the recruitment process.

The Preliminary Examination will be conducted in OMR-based offline mode.

The preliminary examination will assess candidates on:

Section A: Essay Writing in English

• 30 Marks

Section B: Precis Writing in English

• 30 Marks

Section C (i): Translation from English to Hindi

Section D: English Comprehension

• 40 Marks

Special emphasis will be placed on constitutional accuracy, conceptual clarity, grammar, language proficiency, coherence, and analytical understanding.

The final stage will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

• Duration: 20 Minutes
• Negative Marking: No
• Qualifying Marks: 25 out of 50

Candidates will be provided a passage of approximately 500 English words which must be reproduced on a computer in the same format within the stipulated time. The test will evaluate typing accuracy, speed, and formatting skills.

The final merit will be based on:

• Stage-II (Mains): 150 Marks
• Stage-III (Computer Test): 50 Marks
